These courses are designed to provide training in English to individuals of a foreign language.  This will enable them to use their profession, training or skills from their own country in the American society.  Financial aid (PELL only) is available, if qualified.

  Comprehensive ESL - 1152 Hours

3 Terms, Certificate Upon Completion

Course designed to provide training in English to applicants of a foreign language entering in at the beginner level.  Upon completion, students will be able to acquire English to enable them to use their profession and skills in the United States.

Entrance Requirements:

  • Open to non-English speaking individuals

  • 16 years of age or older

  • Proof of graduating high school or equivalent

  • Personal interview with Department of Admissions

  • Score at beginner level on entrance tests (SLEP Part 1)

    2 Terms, Certificate Upon Completion

    This course is designed to provide training in English to applicants of a foreign language entering in at the intermediate level.  Upon completion, students will acquire English to enable them to use their profession and skills that they already have.

    Entrance Requirements:

  • Open to non-English speaking individuals

  • 16 years of age or older

  • Proof of graduating high school or equivalent

  • Personal interview with Department of Admissions

  • Score at intermediate level on entrance tests (SLEP Part 1)
