Location
Grace Institute of Business Technology is an educational
institution that conducts day, evening and Saturday classes. It is
located at 1090 Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn and is
accessible to subway, bus and other mass transportation. Many
classrooms are large, airy, carpeted, air-conditioned, and are
located on the second floor of the building.

Grievance/Complaint Procedures
The
Institute has an internal grievance procedure whereby any student or
employee who feels an issue or problem has not been appropriately
addressed or resolved, may submit his/her grievance or complaint in
writing to the School Director. The grievance or complaint will be
presented at an Administrative Committee meeting and a determination
will be provided to the student or employees within five business days.
Any
student or employee who believes that his or her grievance or complaint
has not been fairly addressed by the Institute may write to the New York

Sexual Harassment
Any
form of sexual harassment by any employee or student is considered to be
a violation of the Grace Institute of Business Technology policy and
a violation of federal law. Sexual harassment is described as
unsolicited, nonreciprocal behavior such as unsolicited verbal comments
and harassment; sexist remarks about a person’s body or sexual
activities, patting, pinching, or unnecessary touching, subtle pressure
or demands for sexual favors accompanied by implied or over threats
concerning employment or student status; and physical assault.
Individuals
who consider that they are victims of sexual harassment must immediately
contact the administration. If charges are proven, actions include
suspension and dismissal from the institute depending on the nature and
depth of the grievance.

Drug and Alcohol
Policy
In compliance with
the 1989 Drug Free Schools and Community Amendment Act relating to
United States Public Law 101-226 and in support of the health and safety
of its students and employees, the Institute is determined to maintain a
school environment that is free from possession and use of distribution
of illegal drugs and alcohol abuse. The Institute’s drug and
alcohol prevention program information is distributed at the time of
enrollment and is updated from time to time and made available to
students and employees.

Crime
Awareness and School Security
The Institute
distributes materials regarding crime awareness and school security each
year in accordance with federal law.
|
Housing
The Institute does
not offer housing facilities to any student.
Students interested
in information on housing may contact the school’s counselor for
referral to appropriate sources.

Property
The Institute accepts no responsibility for
lost or stolen personal property of any student or employee
