Part-time courses are available to individuals who are unable to attend classes on a full-time basis. Hours are flexible; classes meet morning, afternoon, evening and weekends.

 

  Introductory ESL - 90 Hours

Certificate Upon Completion

Course designed to provide instruction to non-English speaking applicants at the beginner level.  They will be able to acquire enough English to help them with their everyday living.

Entrance Requirements:

  • Open to Foreign speakers of another language
  • 16 years of age or older
  • Personal interview with Department of Admissions
  • Score at beginner level on entrance tests (NYS Place/Alpha)
  •  

      GED Preparation - 60 Hours

     10th Grade Education

    Course designed to prepare non-high school students for the General Equivalency Examination. Students may be qualified to seek employment that require a GED, or further their education. 

    Entrance Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Personal interview with Department of Admissions
  • Be part of a high school class that has graduated
  • Passing score on CAT 1 and 6
  • Good command of the English language
  •
